It goes out to the light the first complete manual of guided of blind mountaineers, allocated to these and to his presents and future guides. Up to now, the bases and technical for the practice of the discipline called montañismo for blind alone were near at hand of some mountaineers, formed mainly in the Group of Mountain of the ONCE and of the FEDC (Spanish Federation of Sports for Blind), as well as in a reduced number of foundations and private clubs.
With the help of this detailed manual, these knowledges and technical can be studied and learnt now by any mountaineer, by educational sportive, students of the INEF, or students of the diverse levels of the degree of Technician of Mountain, or of the modules of Professional Training related with the sport adapted to disabled physicists and with the recreational activities in the half natural.
This manual, surely only to world-wide level by his specificity, is the result of more than 17 years of experience in mountain with people with distinct degrees of blindness carried cape by the author, Francis Well, firstly like instructor of guided of blind in mountain and later in quality of Manager of the Group of Mountain of the ONCE in Madrid.
The manual addresses questions like the peculiarities of the practice of the montañismo with blind, proposals of organisation of a group of montañismo for blind, technicians of utilisation of the directional bar – indispensable tool to practise the montañismo with invidentes -, technicians of first helps, rescue and survival with people invidentes, etc. All this exemplified and made pleasant by real anecdotes in mountain (courses, expeditions, etc.) lived by the own author or other mates, blind and seers, along these 17 years of experiences on the terrain.
An extensive photographic body reflects each manoeuvre realised with the directional bar, as well as real situations in high, average and low mountain, that exemplify the theory reflected in the text.
