“It Port”, as they designate by the zone to the Ports of Beseit, is a mountainous system that does of link between the Mountain ranges Prelitorales Catalan and the Iberian System, and constituting a formidable barrier that separates the plains of the Baix Ebre and The Montsià of the inner regions of the Matarranya and the Terra High.
The rivers and the ravines have opened go through the limestones of these mountains, originating some wonderful gorgas, that are definitely one of the main appeals of these mountains: the Narrow or Gúbies of the Parrissal, the Narrow of Arnes, them Gúbies of the Regatxol, the Gúbies of the Vall Figuera, the Ravine of the Paridora, the Ravine of the Caramella, etc.
The others appeals of the Port are the fauna, represented by the wild goat, designated locally Sauvatge (Capra pyrenaica hispanica), relatively easy to see; and the vegetation, where does lacking to mention the existence of the hayedo more meridional of the Iberian peninsula, neither that it was mixed with pine.
By these places can realise some travesías very interesting, as for example the Route of the Estels of the Sud. A route of five days and some 120 kilometres by this zone that allows us approach us to these wonderful places.
