The UTSM to a month of his eighth edition. They foresee more than 600 trailrunners.

Beer artesanal and wine, improve the links of the career with the territory.

It remains little more than a month for the eighth edition of the Ultra Trail Serra Montsant, one of the big appointments of the ultra trail running Catalan and national, that will carry out this year on 22 October with exit and arrival in Cornudella of Montsant (Priorat).

Fully consolidated, the contest (organised by the Section of Mountain of the Cultural Grouping of Vila-dry and the technical production of Naturetime Events) offers until five different routes so that all the runners can adapt to the distance that was them more suitable and enjoy of some surroundings inmejorable in any rincón of the Natural Park of the Saw of Montsant.

To day of today, the number of inscribed between all the careers approaches to the 400, 40% of which belong to the proof reigns of 101 kms (UTSM). Also they stand out 15% of foreign runners that represent until 12 nationalities.

The main route consists of 101,2km and 4.000m of desnivel positive and explained, until the previous edition, with an average of 73,3% of ‘finishers’. The others traced are of 67km (Long TSM); 49,3km (Half TSM, last proof of the third Catalan Glass of Careers of Resistance of the FEEC); 26km (TSM26); and 10km (TSM10, that can do running or walking). The two shorter careers belong to the Circuit trailSERIES Golden Coast 2016, that will live his penultimate proof of the calendar in the frame of the UTSM. The event forms part of the International Trailrunning Assossiation (ITRA) and, except the Trail of 10km, the others four routes describe for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc 2017-18, awarding five, four, three, two and a point respectively.

A novelty of this year is the one to improve the image of mark and do the UTSM more authentic and only. With this idea has gone out the combination of sport and territory where the UTSM will be one of the few state careers that have his own beer artesanal: the local beer Rustica Bufona, created in Escaladei, will be the attendant to receive to the runners to put . Instead, the wine through Cap of Ruc (Cellar Ronadelles) will be the attendant to deliver his bottles to all the sportsmen that do podium.
