The Puigmal (2.911 m), called also Puigmal d’Err in Alta Cerdaña, is the highest mountain of the Oriental Pyrenees and of the province of Girona, situated in the border of Spain with France.
Located between the municipal terms of Queralbs (Ripollés, Girona) and Err (Alta Cerdaña, Oriental Pyrenees) is the highest of the summits that configure the designated Big Pot that surrounds the valley of Núria. It is a wide peak and rounded; his ascensión is simple if the climatic conditions are not very adverse. In his summit finds a cross of iron fraguado and a plate with verses of Cinto Verdaguer.

The access realises by the French road N-116 of Puigcerdá to Montlluis, detour to Santa Llocalia, continuing until the station of ski of Err-Puigmal. Happening this, a barrier prevents us the step and have a parking (the Plans – 2.220 m) where leave the vehicle.
