The Pyrenees are a mountainous mountain range situated north of the Iberian Peninsula, between Spain, Andorra and France.

It extends along 415 km from the sea Mediterranean (cape of Creus , gulf of Roses) to the east, until the sea Bay of Biscay (cape Higuer , gulf of Vizcaya) west. In his central part has a width of some 150 km.

In common language the word Pyrenees applies to the group of high Hispanic border saws-French. The Central Pyrenees or central Pyrenees is the geographic area of the mountain range of the Pyrenees that extends roughly, according to the different works, between the summits of Somport, in the western part, and the macizo of the Maladeta, in the oriental.

In the slope south, in Spain, pass by Navarra, Aragon (Huesca) and Catalonia (Lleida and Girona). The small country of Andorra is situated in the Pyrenees, between Spain and France.

These mountains house beaks of more than 3.000 metres of height like the Aneto (3.404 m), the Posets (3.375 m), the Stray Mountain (3.355 m) and the Vignemale (3.298 m), small glaciers, lakes and circuses of origin glacier, and a big number of valleys and cannons.
