The beak situates in the saw of Aizkorri. Being the highest beak of this saw and of all the Basque Country but no of all Basque Country, since this honour has it The Table of the three kings, situated in the confluencia of the provinces of Huesca, Navarra and the French state.

The importance of this beak comes given by his prominence that is of 943 metres and that describe it like the number 36 of the peninsular beaks.

Etymologically Aitxuri wants to say «white Rock», that comes from Basque words Aitz that wants to say «rock» and txuri, «white».

They are many the routes of promotion to this mountain. Almost all common to the Aizkorri or to the Aketegi:

– From the High of Otzaurte (3h 30 m).
– From Arantzazu (2h 30 m)
– From Cegama(3h 00 m)
